On April 5, at around 6:45 pm, you’ll likely be able to see what’s happening live, before the big event. At 7:00 pm, we’ll start. There will be around 400 people at the live event. We have no idea how many more will join online, we’ll see. We are using our YouTube Channel as our live stream platform.

1. You can still attend the live event. We encourage everyone who is able to come in person to hear Jeff Kessler and Booth Goodwin talk about innovation, leadership, and their ideas for addressing persistent problems in the state.

2. If you’re tuning in to the live stream, simply go to CreateWV.org and the live stream will be there, front and center. All you need to do is click on it. NOTE the special instructions for joining our online poll (you just send a text o the number we give you and we’ll prompt you from there!). If Twitter is your thing, we’ll be monitoring our Twitter feed. You can tweet us at @createwv and be sure to use ‪#‎WVGOVTALK‬ to help us better organize all the tweets related to this event.

The State Journal will also be carrying our feed live.

3.We had to change the format of the event just a bit to be able to better manage the time and engagement with each candidate. The questions that were submitted by people and organizations from around the state were shared with the candidates so they could read and fully digest the concerns of the people. Those questions have no doubt influenced how the candidates will each answer the Roundtable Questions.

4. We are working to balance input from the live and online audience, and it occurred to us that people should be given a chance to offer solutions. So, we’re implementing solution cards to help get ideas shared with candidates and the audience.

5. Hang in there with us. Innovation is sometimes messy, but fun. This should be a really great opportunity to meet with the candidates who have expressed the willingness to study Innovation Economy issues, and meet the public in a very different, and unpredictable way.

6. Not that we need to remind our community of this, but we insist on courtesy and respect.
