For past conferences, Create WV volunteers have temporarily taken over towns, originated pop-up boutiques in empty storefronts, featured local food artists and designer food, futurists, classroom disrupting educators, and makers of all stripes. And sure, often there’s a fair amount of fingerpointing and blame shifting about some things. There’s some pie-in-the-sky talk about some things, and shock and awe about things that are happening that SOUND like pie-in-the-sky ideas. When folks discover that there’s a growing group of people who are pulling out all the stops to address chronic issues and big ideas…well, it gets pretty exciting. It’s that excitement that pushes this all-volunteer organization forward. It’s all about giving you a voice, helping great ideas make it to market.
