Quickly after Governor Manchin announced his “Come Home to WV” initiative, the Commerce Department has launched its initial effort to get the word out: WV has opportunities for both filling jobs and creating jobs.
The web site www.hometowv.com is live and seeks to connect native West Virginians living outside the state with opportunities that exist today.
There are many other examples around the state. So if you know of friends and family members who have considered moving back to West Virginia, please make sure they are aware of www.hometowv.com. And if they have the right combination of healthcare and technology experience, have them send their resume to Rob. <g>
The effort is none too soon, as many of West Virginia’s company’s, especially new economy technology firms, are reporting difficulty finding the highly educated, talented employees required to fill their positions.
