These Parking Instructions Apply to EVERYONE. See you on Thursday!

This conference starts September 24 @ noon at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Building. But you need to plan to be there a lot earlier, just to make sure you catch a shuttle in time for the kickoff. WALK IN REGISTRATIONS WELCOME, BUT YOU STILL HAVE TO CONFORM TO THE PARKING PLAN. BE ADVISED!

REGISTRATION IS AT:

Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Building

200 W Maple Ave

Fayetteville WV 25840

There is no parking downtown for conferees, but no worries, the conference footprint is totally walkable. (Pun intended.) Please plan to be in Fayetteville early enough to catch a shuttle from one of the designated shuttle locations.

We strongly advise carpooling if possible. PLANNING is going to make all the difference.

If carpooling, please drop your passengers off at the Memorial Building by10:30 (or earlier), then drive yourself to a shuttle location to wait for the next shuttle. Please patiently expect a shuttle to pick passengers up approximately every 20 minutes from the following locations throughout the conference.

Wal-Mart (near Wendy’s), Quality Inn and Comfort Inn Thursday 10:30 AM-12:30 PM Thursday 8:00 PM-9:00 PM

Friday 7:30 AM-9:00 AM

Friday 2:45 PM-3:30 PM

Friday 5:45 PM-6:45 PM

Friday 8:00 PM-9:00 PM

In case of a non-medical emergency our shuttle driver’s cell is 304 553 4572. His name is Bill, and he’s awesome.

Early arrival in downtown Fayetteville is welcomed by shops and restaurants. Local businesses are looking forward to sharing a cup of coffee with you, and chatting you up about what they do in the Ville. But parking is extremely limited in this small town of almost 3000 people–and we promised not to complicate things further with a couple hundred more vehicles. Parking problems caused by our conference will not be cool. Please help us keep our local hosts happy during their busiest tourist season. Please, please, comply with our parking directions.

WHAT TO WEAR – WHAT TO BRING

Dress comfortably. Leave your suit at home…be comfortable! Bring shoes you can walk, run or bike in. There’s also yoga! Layer your clothing for warm days and cool nights.

Bring your instrument if you want to join a jam. There are several different opportunities to network…could during be a jam session, a rock climbing adventure, a hike, birding, or…you get it, right? Come prepared to do something fun, and different, and to network!

Qiet, West Virginia’s favorite (and uber eclectic) gypsy-rock band plays a free concert outside, and afterward, the jam continues at The Grove (above the Secret Sandwich Society.)

COME EARLY, STAY LATE!

Come early, stay longer. Bring friends and family. And for Pete’s sake, plan to stay until 8:00 pm on Friday. Important events are scheduled for that dinner hour, and the audience is key. Plus Joy Marr, our food designer, has worked so hard to create a menu worth your Friday night.
