Do you have an idea for a business or new project on which you would like feedback or help?

As part of the Create WV Conference in Wheeling, WV, a “business activation” team will be available during the conference to provide feedback to you and/or your team – facilitating and enabling you, the founder or owner of the idea, to create an opportunity. A dedicated room will be available at the Create WV Conference for 52 hours, beginning at 12pm on Sunday, October 17, 2010 until 4pm on Tuesday, October 19, 2010.

Each year the number of attendees to the Create WV Conference increases and so do the expectations. Now we are providing a platform for creating viable businesses via StartUP52. “We want to provide not only an opportunity for people to develop ideas, but to help them activate those ideas and generate exposure for them via YouTube videos, podcast interviews, etc.” said Duane Thomas, a StartUP52 business activation team member. “An investor is looking to invest in people – people and their passion to activate an idea; that’s what we plan to showcase at the conference.”  

The Create WV Conference has been a host of many discussions: Quality of Place, Technology, Diversity and Inclusion, Education and Talent, Entrepreneurship, and Community Resources. As a result of these many discussions, communities throughout WV have been creating opportunities.  Now StartUP52 looks to break the discussions down further to the individual level for people to capitalize on their talent and build a more creative, prosperous West Virginia.
