Kanawha Valley Air Monitoring
Create WV team members helped install a network of PurpleAir sensors to monitor air quality measurements in Kanawha County, also known as “Chemical Valley.” Our partner, WV Citizen’s Action Group has scaled this pilot project to install air quality sensors around the state based on our program funded by the Center for International Environmental Law and matching by WV Rivers. Our team continues to support WVCAG install more sensors around the state, focusing on research and innovation fueled by this network of sensors.

An initiative funded by the McGee Foundation, Create WV is managing the communications effort of the WESTSIDE Together Collaborative
Visioning for a Future WVU
In response to the West Virginia University Budget Crisis of 2023, Create WV produced a report, “Visioning for a Future WVU: A Preliminary Report on Community-driven Transformation.” The report is compiled of feedback gathered from in-person and virtual forums and an open question survey to better to inform decisions.
Create WV Discord
The maker community has started a Discord server to chat, connect, and share ideas with like-minded individuals from all over the state. Whether you’re a coder, a designer, a musician, or anything in between, you’ll make good connections here.
