The Create WV 2012 Conference is being held in Charleston, WV, October 26-27, 2012. Create WV is the state’s largest gathering of creative, innovative people in business, community development, education and the arts. It’s the place to get inspired, develop your ideas, and find resources and support to launch them!
The first statewide “crowd funding” contest is being held so that the best ideas from around the state get much-needed exposure and a little “kick start” funding to get them moving.
Ten presenters in each category – business/social entrepreneurship, communities and schools (K12 and Higher Ed) – will be selected from those who submit this simple idea submission form. If you are one of the top ten chosen, you will be invited to present your idea for seed capital funding up to $2,500*!
Hurry! Deadline for submitting your idea overview is October 10, 2012. The ten semi-finalists will be notified by October 15 and be invited to present to a panel of judges on October 27, 2012, in Charleston. The finalists will also be offered FREE expert mentoring during Friday, October 26, to sharpen their pitch if they decide to attend the Create WV 2012 Conference.

After the first round of presentations, three lucky finalists will then pitch their idea to the entire Create WV 2012 audience for a chance to win up to $2,500! Some of the top business, government, community and education leaders in the state will be in attendance, so it’s a GREAT for your idea to get exposure…And you just might win $2,500!
